Everyone asks me how I trained Bain. The truth is, I didn't. Bain came into my life as an old soul in a tiny body. He senses my anxiety before I do. He comforts me without being asked. He is, quite literally, my angel.
But I know I got lucky.
Most dogs aren't born knowing how to be calm during a meltdown. Most dogs chew shoes, bark at the mailman, and pull on the leash. And it’s not because they are "bad dogs"—it’s because their brains are bored.
I believe every dog has the potential to be a "Bain." They just need to be understood.
If you are struggling to connect with your pup, or if their behavior is adding to your stress instead of healing it, you don't need a shock collar. You need to engage their mind.
I’ve been looking into methods that align with "The Pederson Effect"—gentle, smart, and healing. I found a program called "Brain Training for Dogs." It doesn't use force. It uses games. It teaches your dog to think, which calms them down (just like writing calms me down).

Your dog wants to be good. Sometimes they just need you to speak their language.
